A further exploration of my pervious project "A Cup of Tea". As part of the thematic residency "Meeting for Teas" at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, I had the opportunity to experiment with hand-building tiles and transferring my imagery using screen-printed underglaze transfers.
During my stay, I played with layers of calligraphy and scanned images of tea leaves. Below are a few images of my open studio at the Banff Centre.

Below is an iteration of my previous project "A Cup of Tea", in which I layer conversations over a cup of tea with scanned tea leaves and shapes to mimic Islamic tiles. Currently printed in editions of 10 each on rag paper and currently a work in progress to be printed on ceramic tiles.
